4.50mm Crochet Hook G for cuff
GAUGE – 6sc and 6 rows of sc measures approx 1 inch

Starting at cuff and working down to toe of booties
Cuff – With contrast color yarn and G hook 4.5mm, ch8, 1sc in second ch from hook, 1sc in each ch to end. Turn. (7sc)
Next Row – Working in back loop of stitch only, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn.
Rpt last row until 24 rows have been worked in all.
Fold piece in half (bottom to top) so that the short sides of both ends are lined up, sl st through both sides of work to make a ring. Fasten off.
Leg – Join in CC color yarn and F hook 3.75mm, working in row ends along side of ring, ch1, 1sc in each row end to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (22sc) This is 2sc less than cuff rows. Ease down to 22 sc. This makes cuff easier to fold down later.
Next Row – In MC color yarn, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt last row eight more times, making 10 rows in all. Fasten off.
Heel – Join in contrast color yarn, ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 11sc, turn leaving remaining 10sc un-worked.
Next Row – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end. Turn. (12sc)
Rpt last row twice more, making four rows in all.
Next Row – (Dec Row) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 3sc, dec (see the abbrev) 1sc over next 2sc, (twice) 1sc in each of next 4sc. Turn. (10sc)
Next Row – (Dec Row) ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each of next 3sc, dec 1sc over next 2sc, 1sc in each of next 4sc. Turn. (9sc)
With WS facing fold heel in half length ways and sl st to together both sides of top (row just worked) to seal heel. Fasten off.
Bottom to toe:
Next row – Join in main color yarn to first row end (next to the sl st edge you have just created), ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, working in row ends along first side of heel, work 1sc in each of next five row ends, 1sc in each of next 10sc along foot, 1sc in each of next six row ends on second side of heel, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn. (22sc)
Next Row – ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in each sc to end, sl st to first sc on beginning of row. Turn.
Rpt last row 12 more times, making 14 rows in all. Fasten off.
Join in contrast color yarn and rpt last row twice.
Shape Toe –Ch1, sc around. Turn. [22sc] Rpt last row twice. Fasten off leaving length of yarn in CC color. Working on WS of work, thread length of yarn through last row to gather toe. Pull tight and secure end. . Sew together any opening in toe.
Finishing: Weave in any loose ends of yarn and trim. Turn through to RS and fold down cuff.
