Crochet Cuffed — 0 to 3 month Socks
Written in standard American terms.
Skill level – easy
NOTES:
- Use “H” hook 5mm
- Use DK yarn Cat 3 [mostly cotton, if possible]
- Worked mostly in round.
- Join with sl st at end of each row except where told not to do so.
- Do not turn unless told to do so.
- Ch1 at beginning of each round. 1st stitch is at base of that ch.
- Make 2 socks.
- Need a stitch marker
Abbreviations –
- Ch – chain
- St – stitch
- Slst – Slip stitch
- Sc – single crochet
- Inc – Increase (2 Sc into the same st)
Starting at toe:
Make a magic circle.
Toe to Heel:
Round 1 – 6sc into magic circle (6)
Round 2 – *2sc in each sc* into each st around (12)
Round 3 – *sc in next 2sc, Inc using next sc*, repeat * to * around (16)
Round 4 – *sc in next 3sc, Inc using next sc*, repeat * to * around (20)
Rounds 5 to 16 – Sc in each st around (20)

16 [3 ½” length at end of row 16 – 2 ¼ – 2 ½” wide and 4 ½-5” circumference]
Heel:
Round 17 – Sc 4, Slst in the next st on row 16
Round 18 – Turn, Ch 1, Sc 5, Slst into the next st on row 16
Round 19 – Turn, Ch 1, Sc 6, Slst into the next st on row 16
Round 20 – Turn, Ch 1, Sc 7, Slst into the next st on row 16
Round 21 – Turn, Ch 1, Sc 8, Slst into the next st on row 16
Round 22 – Turn, Ch 1, Sc 9, Slst into the next st on row 16
Round 23 – Turn, Ch 1, Sc in the next 10 Sts, Sc onto row 16, Sc in the next 9 Sts. Join 1st st in row 16.
Ankle:
From here you will be working in rounds again.
Round 24 – Sc into the 1st st of round 16, then continue to Sc around (20)
Rounds 25 to 31 – Sc in each st around (20)
Cuff:
Cuff:
Round 32 – Turn, Ch 1, Sc in back loop only around [20]
Round 33 – Using both loops, *Sc 4, Inc,* repeat * to * around [4 inc in this round] [24 stitches]
Rounds 34 to 37 – Sc around [24 stitches]

Slst and fasten off, fold cuff down at row 32.
Can add row 38 of a different contrast color. [24 sc]
