Displayed: P - Page 1 ........   GoTo:   P pg1 William Anson Peoples, Jr died at age 74 and lived in Addison, NY. He was born in 1946 in Wellsboro, PA. William was a graduate of Addison Central School, Class of 1966.He married Marilyn Peoples (Aumick) in 1969. They had children and grandchildren. He served in the U.S.Army during Vietnam from 1966 to 1968. Bill has operated the Peoples Farm in Addison since 1970, “semi” retiring after selling his cows in 2008. He continued to enjoy crop farming. Bill was the embodiment of service to ones community; he dedicated his life in service in many capacities to local boards and committees that made a difference in our community. He served for several years as President of the Addison School Board, with 30 years of continuous service; GST Boces Board for 10 years; served as the Treasurer for the New York State Soil and Water Conservation District for 6 years; Steuben County Legislator for 4 years; President of the Addison Hill Cemetery for several years; and numerous other community committees. -- Corning Leader 5/14/2021
