As early as 1793 the early settlers, ever mindful of the best interests of their children, opened a common school [public school].
Elementary students attended small schools in Breesport. As a bond project allowed for the building of new schools, these small schools were sold.
Some still exist today as private homes.
Breesport High School [public school] operated until 1949. Enrollment growth had slowed by 1975. That year, Breesport School, then housing grades K-3, was
sold to a group of Baptist churches and became the Southern Tier Baptist High School. The Breesport elementary students went to Center Street Elementary
School, Horseheads, NY. Then the building became the Breesport Baptist High School under the leadership of the Baptist Church in Breesport.
The leadership changed the name to Twin Tiers Christian Academy to include neighboring areas in the school. The school was located on Breesport Rd in Breesport, NY.
In the Winter of 2014 a new school was opened in a new location on North Chemung Road in Breesport, NY, and named Twin Tiers Christian Academy.
The new Twin Tiers Christian Academy is located behind the Breesport Baptist Church. There is an althetic park across the street.
