In the 1850‘s, there was an Atlanta-North Cohocton School District
with a school on the road that went between the two towns.
In 1933, two districts [Atlanta-North Cohocton High School and Cohocton High
School] merged to form the Cohocton School District with the High School in
Cohocton, NY.
In 1993, Cohocton and Wayland High Schools merged and the two school districts
[Cohocton and Wayland] became the Wayland-Cohocton School District with the High
School in Wayland. Therefore, in 2016 [when this was written], the area is in the
Wayland-Cohocton School District.
